3 Great Wedding Waltzes for your First Dance

For those who want to get away from the usual first dance routine of kissing on the dance floor while shuffling back and forth, a waltz is a great choice for a first dance. It's also easy to learn, enjoyable to do, and requires no choreography (though a few spins and dips could certainly be added for more adventurous couples!).

A hit song in a waltz tempo seems to be rare, however. Finding a true waltz not written in the 1800's can prove to be a challenge, but we've discovered three hit love songs that might be perfect for a first dance waltz.

Waltz away the night with any of these lovely melodies on your first dance!

1. If I Knew Then - Lady Antebellum

2. What the World Needs Now is Love - Burt Bacharach

3. Come Away With Me - Norah Jones

Brides and Grooms aren't the only ones to enjoy a waltz. Keep them coming by letting your band know to be ready with a few waltzes to keep the night spinning!
